By a surfer, for surfers

Swell Affair creates classic surf-inspired designs based off of Maine, surf culture, and the environment with the motto - Live Green, Surf Blue.

A person wearing sunglasses and a cap stands at an outdoor booth displaying art prints and clothing under a canopy. The booth has framed art with nature themes and folded shirts. A sign reads, 'Sweet Affair Art Clothing.'

George is a photographer, avid surfer, and lover of the ocean. He started Swell Affair as an outlet for creative expression and getting involved in the surf community. During the day, he works in product marketing for a climate tech company.

Sustainability

Live Green, Surf Blue

Sandy beach with grassy dunes beside calm blue water under clear sky.

We are vocal advocates for sustainability and community justice. We try our best to use sustainable materials & packaging, minimize wasted inventory, and find ways to make out products lower impact.

Surf Wax

Most surf wax is petroleum-based with dyes, artificial fragrance, and harmful additives - Swell Affair’s surf wax is made with high quality natural ingredients instead. Our wax is better for you, the ocean, and the planet, compared to big-brand surf wax.

Banking that funds clean energy

Two people wearing matching "Go Green, Clean Energy" hoodies stand holding hands in front of a large array of solar panels in a grassy field under a clear blue sky.

60 banks invested $6.9 trillion in fossil fuels over 8 years, meaning your savings are being used to accelerate climate change and undo any action you take.

We use Clean Energy Credit Union for both personal and business banking which focuses on financing clean energy projects. They have funded over 14,000 clean energy loans and helped offset over $1 Million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.

1 LB of Plastic Diverted/Order

Swell Affair donates a portion of each sale to Cleanhub, who works on the ground in Asia to divert plastic waste from entering the ocean while investing the local communities.
